One of the most requested features is officially making a comeback in Battlefield 6—the server browser is returning, and this time it’s right in the main menu.

If you’ve been playing Battlefield for a while, you probably remember how crucial the server browser used to be. It let players handpick the kind of matches, maps, and even rule sets they wanted to dive into. But when Battlefield 2042 dropped the feature, it left a sour taste for many fans. Fortunately, DICE is bringing it back in the next game.

In a welcome surprise, Battlefield 6 producer Alexa Christofi took to X (formerly Twitter) and asked players:
“What is important to you about the browser?”
She also teased that more information would be coming soon. Her post instantly sparked a wave of replies from players, influencers, and longtime community members. One well-known creator, TacticalBrit, chimed in, stressing how vital the server browser is for fostering custom communities and letting players shape their own unique experiences.

But this isn’t just the same old browser from the past. DICE is revamping it to better spotlight all the available modes—whether official, community-made, or fully custom. Everything will be split into easy-to-navigate menus so players can find exactly what they’re looking for.

Even better? Dedicated servers are coming back too. Battlefield 6 will launch with regional servers across the globe to ensure smoother gameplay no matter where you are. The confirmed regions include:

  • North America
  • South America
  • Europe
  • Middle East
  • Africa
  • Asia
  • Oceania

Players won’t have to wait until launch to try this out either—the server browser and dedicated servers are expected to be part of the upcoming open beta. So if you’re curious about how it all works, you’ll get hands-on time before the full release.

It’s clear DICE is listening, and the return of the server browser might just be the move that wins back longtime fans.
