Nintendo announced that the highly anticipated console Nintendo Switch 2 has set the launch on June 5, 2025. And Pre-Orders will kick off in the US; April 24th. The starting price of $499.
As part of the statement, Nintendo stated that the Switch 2’s price will stay at $449.99, despite concerns that the Trump administration’s new tariff policy would result in increased pricing for the system. However, Nintendo announced that the Switch 2 accessories would be more expensive.
Preorders were scheduled to begin on April 9th, but Nintendo postponed them following the Trump administration’s announcement of increased tariffs.
Nintendo specifically postponed preorders “in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions.” At the time, the company stated that the Switch 2’s planned June 5th launch date would remain “unchanged.”
