Welcome back to another This Week in Gaming. Today, we’ve got a massive update for you! From a new graphics mod for GTA V to a major acquisition by Indian publisher Nazara, and specs of RTX 5080 leaking online – there’s a lot to cover.
Nazara Acquires Curve Games for ₹247 Crores
India’s only publicly listed gaming company, Nazara Technologies, has bought UK-based publisher Curve Games for ₹247 crore. If you’re unaware, Curve Games is behind hits like Human Fall Flat, Badland Crew, The Ascent, and For The King, which together have over 100 million downloads.
This acquisition is significant as Nazara primarily focused on mobile until recently but is now clearly showing interest in PC and console gaming too. Earlier, they had launched their own publishing label to support Indian PC/console devs. This new step strengthens that commitment.
Nazara’s CEO Nitish Mittersain said this move boosts their global ambitions and could serve as a gateway for Indian devs to go international. Curve Games will continue to operate independently, but its expertise could benefit Indian developers massively.

NVIDIA RTX 5080 Specs Leaked
Specs for the upcoming RTX 5080 Super have reportedly leaked. Traditionally, Super/Ti models are only slightly better than base ones, but this time, RTX 5080 might even rival or beat the flagship 5090.
It features 10,752 CUDA cores and a whopping 24GB GDDR7 memory with speeds up to 32 Gbps, outpacing even the 5090’s 28 Gbps. Power draw is around 400W, which is higher but still manageable. While there’s no official word on pricing or launch, these leaks hint that NVIDIA has big plans ahead.

Indian Game ‘Mukti’ Gets Gameplay Reveal
The Indian game “Mukti” developed under Sony’s India Hero Project, finally has a 4-minute gameplay trailer out now. The game tells the story of Arya, who explores her grandfather’s museum to uncover his mysterious disappearance.

Power consumption is relatively low at 150–182W, a clear improvement over previous AMD cards. No official price yet, but estimates place it between $250–$300.
Mindseye PC Requirements Revealed
With less than a month to launch, Mindsi, developed by Build A Rocket Boy (led by former Rockstar producer Leslie Benzies), has revealed its system requirements.
